Baby Time
You will get the complete source code for the app as seen in the video demo. Nothing more or less than what the demo shows. This app is compatible with the latest version of Xcode and SwiftUI. The app is built in SwiftUI and compatible with Xcode 15+. This app helps pregnant women know whether their contractions are becoming regular and when they should consider heading to the hospital. Because the app uses SwiftData to store everything locally, none of the user’s data leaves their device.
What do I need to get started?
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 15+. This app requires iOS 17+. All templates on this website are for iPhones without iPad support. An AdMob account is necessary if you want to show ads in the app. We provide basic PDF documentation on how to replace the AdMob Interstitial Ad identifiers and the in-app purchase product identifiers.
How does it work?
- The user starts on the Dashboard and taps START to begin timing a contraction.
- When a contraction begins, the app records the start time and, if enabled, opens the full-screen timer with a calming breathing prompt.
- When the user taps STOP, the contraction ends. The app then asks the user to select the intensity and automatically saves the start time, end time, duration, and interval.
- Each contraction appears in the timeline with its timestamp, duration, intensity, and the interval since the previous contraction.
- The Dashboard displays average duration, average interval, and the number of contractions in the past hour. These update continuously based on user activity.
- Labor status indicators (Relaxed, Active, Urgent) change automatically based on contraction patterns, helping the user understand when it may be time to go to the hospital.
- Users can view yesterday’s contraction history, delete individual contractions, or clear all data at any time.
- All data is stored locally on the device using SwiftData, ensuring contraction history remains private and secure.
- A dedicated checklist screen provides helpful pregnancy preparation tasks, allowing users to mark items as complete and learn more about key topics like contractions and true labor.
- Premium users unlock ad-free experience via a one time in-app purchase. You can lock more features using the same non-consumable in-app purchase.
- In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps you want to add in-app purchases.
