AI Background
Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) apps are on the rise. This is your chance to get your hands on a simple yet powerful app, which will automatically remove backgrounds from most portraits and selfies. Thanks to the CoreML model, we can separate the background from the foreground, allowing us to do many interesting things: replace completely the background with something different, blur the existing background, remove completely the background. With some additional code, you can apply other effects to these 2 layers.
You will get the source code of the app that you can see on the video demo. Nothing more or less than what the video demo shows. Feel free to ask questions before buying.
The app is built using SwiftUI and supports iOS 14+. The entire background removal logic is 100% based on Apple's native CoreML framework, which uses a specific model that will separate the background from the foreground. If the CoreML framework or the model fails to identify these 2 layers within an image, the app won't display very accurate results.
What do I need to get started?
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 12 installed. This app requires iOS 14+. All app templates on this website are for iPhones, with no iPad support.
The entire app is built using SwiftUI. This app doesn't have any ads, only in-app purchases. If you need ads, please contact us.
How does it work?
- The user starts with a nicely designed interactive onboarding screen, where they get to learn what the app offers.
- The onboarding flow will be presented only 1 time after a fresh app install.
- The user has the option to import 3 photos from the photo gallery. You can change how many photos they can import in the AppConfig file.
- In order to allow the user to import unlimited photos, they must unlock this via in-app purchases, which means more revenue for you.
- After selecting a photo, the user will be presented with the main editor flow, where they can choose 1 of the 3 options: Remove, Replace, or Blur
- All 3 options work the same way, starting with image processing using CoreML, then based on the result from CoreML, the app will remove/replace/blur exactly that area of the image specified by the CoreML result.
- There is no way for a user to manually remove/erase the background. Everything is 100% handled by the CoreML and as you can imagine, the results will vary from photo to photo. The app seems to work best with portraits or selfies, but photos with animals, cars, and other objects can be used as well.
- The app has in-app purchases to allow users to import unlimited photos. In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps that you want to add in-app purchases.
