Block porn sites, protect your child from adult websites. Anti-porn apps are on the rise, as more and more young people have access to mobile devices. Having the option to let users add their own websites or keywords, is a powerful feature that makes this app stand out.
You will get the source code of the app that you see on the video demo. Nothing more or less than what the video demo shows. Feel free to ask questions before buying. The app is built using SwiftUI and supports iOS 14+. This app will block the content only on the Safari browser.
What do I need to get started?
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 13 installed. This app requires iOS 14+. All app templates on this website are for iPhones, with no iPad support. AdMob account is required if you want to show ads in the app. Make sure your Mac has the CocoaPods already installed since this is a minimum requirement to install the AdMob framework.
How does it work?
- The app already has a list of keywords/websites that will block once the user enables the blockers. You can edit this default list in the AppConfig file.
- By default, we let users add up to 2 custom blockers, then the in-app purchases screen will be presented. You can define how many items the user can add via AppConfig.
- Once the user enables the blockers, for the first time they will be asked to go into the iPhone Settings, then enable this app for the Safari browser.
- Whenever the user is browsing the internet on Safari, if a website or keyword matches the blocked items, the Safari browser will automatically block that request.
- The app has in-app purchases to allow users to add more than 2 custom websites/keywords to the blockers list, as well as remove the ads. In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps that you want to add in-app purchases.
