During our September monthly survey, a lot of you voted for the TODO List Widget app idea. Our goal is to deliver trending apps as well as apps that you have voted for, or submitted via our website. To differentiate this app from other boring widget apps, we have decided to allow users to fully customize their widget with gradient colors, custom fonts, and widget styles. There is still a lot of potential for new features.

 

*** WHAT DOES THIS PRODUCT OFFER YOU ***
You will get the source code of the app that you see in the video demo. Nothing more or less than what the video demo shows. Feel free to ask questions before buying. The app is built using SwiftUI. The app supports iOS 14+. In-App Purchases are provided via our PurchaseKit framework and support Consumable and Non-Consumable products. For Auto-Renewable subscriptions, please check our full PurchaseKit product. All TODO items are stored using Core Data technology.

*** WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED ***
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 13 installed. This app requires iOS 14+. All app templates on this website are for iPhones, with no iPad support. AdMob account is required if you want to show ads in the app. You don't need Cocoa Pods anymore for AdMob Ads. We are using Apple's Swift Package Manager to fetch the latest AdMob Ads package.

*** HOW DOES IT WORK ***

- The main dashboard for the app, is split into the top section for a quick widget preview and the button to add TODO items, while the bottom section is allocated for settings.

- At the bottom of the dashboard, the settings list can be used in collapsed or expanded mode. Here the user can set the gradient background colors, custom fonts, text color and widget item style which can be the default style or filled style.

- As you already know, Apple doesn't allow for Home Screen widgets to be interactive, which means that the user cannot complete a TODO task via the Home Screen. When the user taps the widget, the app will launch and they can complete the TODO item inside the app, then the widget will update instantly.

- By default, the app will not allow users to customize the widget background gradient, but this can be unlocked via in-app purchases. In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps that you want to add in-app purchases. *** OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU ***

You can definitely expand the way users customize their widgets. Start with a new settings item, where the user gets to select a background photo for the widget. Another great feature is to have reminders/notifications for TODO items that are urgent. A unique way to customize the TODO list would be to let users select the checkmark style, instead of regular circle/checkmark, maybe let them select emojis or different indicators for completed items.
