You will get the complete source code for the app as seen in the video demo. Nothing more or less than what the demo shows. This app is compatible with the latest version of Xcode and SwiftUI. The app is built in SwiftUI and compatible with Xcode 15+. All vocabulary words are stored locally in the app using a JSON file, this makes it easier for you to maintain the app. No backend or server to worry about. You can configure the vocabulary categories via the AppConfig file where you can specify the premium categories. The app comes with over 100+ words. Using the native text to speech feature, this app helps users learn how to pronounce a given word.
What do I need to get started?
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 15+. This app requires iOS 16+. All templates on this website are for iPhones without iPad support. An AdMob account is necessary if you want to show ads in the app. We provide basic PDF documentation on how to replace the AdMob Interstitial Ad identifiers and the in-app purchase product identifiers.
How does it work?
- Users start by choosing a word category, such as Science, Travel, Art, etc.
- The app presents a word and four possible definitions — users pick the one they believe is correct.
- After answering, they get instant feedback along with the correct definition.
- Words can be favorited for quick review later.
- The app tracks daily and weekly progress, showing stats like correct answers, studied words, and performance.
- Premium users can unlock all categories and full access to statistics. as well as remove the ads.
- Users can also start a random quiz that pulls words from all available categories.
- Text-to-speech is built in, allowing users to hear correct pronunciation for each word.
- In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps you want to add in-app purchases.
